Lawmakers Weigh In On Foster Care Needs, This West Virginia Morning

Listen

On this West Virginia Morning, issues with Child Protective Services (CPS) and the state foster care system are persistent. The state legislature faces questions on how to correct the problems that arise every year. News Director Eric Douglas spoke with Dels. Jonathan Pinson, R-Mason, and Hollis Lewis, D-Kanawha, on last week’s The Legislature Today to get their take on the issue.

Also, after a rare Saturday floor session for the West Virginia Senate, several bills are now moving to the House of Delegates. And, one guest in the Senate gallery Saturday morning was Secretary of State Kris Warner, on hand to support the passage of Senate Bill 878, which creates the Office of Entrepreneurship within his office.
